Mary's Detox Shot
The shredded stuff on the plate is fresh tumeric and ginger |
Serve cold.
When I say "shredded," I have used a cheese grater or zester for fine shavings. Use the cayenne powder sparingly. A pinch is 1/4 teaspoon or less.
**I used 1/4 teaspoon homemade Cayenne Tincture**
UPDATE:
After a very busy weekend in my booth at the Yellow Green Farmer's Market I had completely lost my voice and I was tired!
I took my first shot Tuesday and my second Shot Wednesday. By Wednesday at lunch my voice was back 100% and I felt MUCH better.
Natural home remedies are my favorite! This is one of the many reasons I am hosting a Workshop on Thursday, October 29th.
Grow Your Own and DIY Herbal Remedies
I know those things work Mary, but where did you find the fresh ginger?
ReplyDeleteHey Peggy! They sell fresh ginger root at the local farmer's market. The grocery store also sells fresh ginger in the produce section.
DeleteHi Mary,
ReplyDeleteDid the shot get rid of your "Blah-ness"? I'm curious to know.
Thank you sharing this on the Thumping Thursdays Blog Hop.
Sincerely,

I know that couldn't have tasted to good but with those ingredients it certainly should have worked. Thanks for sharing that - my mother tends to lose her voice a lot and this might be a good remedy for her. Visiting from Real Food Friday
ReplyDeleteVery neat! I've never thought to do this but I just think I might now! Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing at the Thursday Favorite Things blog hop! ♥
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this, Mary. I love using my own herbal remedies too, and I will add this one to my arsenal. I hope you'll join us again at this Thursday's HomeAcre Hop.
