Honestly, I have so much more energy with the ketogenic way of eating that I'm not blogging here that much. My body is burning "fuel" more efficiently with a high fat, moderate protein and no/low carb way of eating. So here's the results so far...
My face looks a bit thinner since we stopped eating junk food |
Pre-keto: I had migraines off and on for 25 years. I HAD all over body pain, numbness and tingling in my hand and arm for about 10 years after a bad MVA and daily "regular" headaches for 5 years.
Here's what I did:
I cut out sugar and most processed carbs in April of this year then went strict keto June 1st when a facebook friend posted the keto challenge for anyone who had been "lurking."
So far, I haven't had a migraine since April. The all over body pain was gone around June. The numbness and tingling was gone around July. The only headaches I've had were hormone related or dehydrated after a long day of moving heavy stuff in the heat.
I've also lost 19 pounds and 3 inches off my waist. My "skinny" pants are baggy and require a belt so it's time to go shopping.
Am I going to stick to this way of eating? HECK YA!
