It's true!  I have been cooking/baking and taking pictures so I've got quite the backlog of recipes.

BUT...If you've stopped by Back to the Basics lately, you know that I have a series of Herbal Remedy recipes: Cayenne Tincture, Homemade Chamomile, Fresh Basil Tincture, Allergy Tincture  and Feverfew Tincture that have been taking up quite a bit of my time.

AND, the "RED" variety seed sale is still going strong through February 14th.  Get it...RED for Valentine's Day!  RED varieties include Detroit Dark Red Beet, Radicchio, Cal Wonder Bell Pepper, French Breakfast Radish, Swiss Chard, Ace 55 and Roma Tomatoes.
*Forgot to add: Orders over $35 will include and extra FREE seed pack of Pink Oxheart Tomatoes*

Please bear with me!  I've been cooking with fresh Basil lately and I've got plenty of recipes to share.  For now, enjoy my favorite protein shake.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon chia seeds (or flax seeds)
1/2 cup vanilla or plain yogurt
1/2 cup mango juice
1/4 cup fresh blueberries
1/4 cup fresh mango chunks
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
1 stalk of celery, chopped
1/c cup spinach
*I add 2 scoops of SP complete powder which is a whole food protein powder with veggies included* It also comes Dairy-free

Directions
Add all of the ingredients into your blender and blend until smooth.   Add ice and blend until smooth.  Serve.  It might be easier if you blended your chia or flax seeds in a food processor first but that just makes more to clean up.
